Arthur C. Nelson

Presidential Professor Emeritus

Arthur C. Nelson is Professor of Urban Planning and Real Estate Development in the College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture, and Professor of Geography and Regional Development in the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, at the University of Arizona. He is also Presidential Professor Emeritus of City & Metropolitan Planning at the University of Utah where, from 2008-2014, he served as founding Director of the Metropolitan Research Center, Adjunct Professor of Finance in the David Eccles School of Business, and founding Co-Director of the Master of Real Estate Development program. Nelson has published nearly 30 books and more than 300 other works. His work has been supported by such sponsors as NSF, National Academy of Sciences, HUD, DOT, Commerce, EPA, Urban Land Institute, National Association of Realtors, and scores of state, regional and local agencies, nonprofts, foundations, and firms.
