Banafsheh Rekabdar

Dr. Banafsheh Rekabdar is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science in the Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science at Portland State University. Dr. Rekabdar’s areas of expertise are artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning. Her current research focuses on the area of reinforcement learning in particular for robotics (robot learning, human robot interaction) and healthcare applications. Dr. Rekabdar is the director of the AI lab at Portland State University. She received her M.S. And Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Nevada Reno.
